Here's why we think we're a great company to work for...

Gramos is a young and growing business, full of discovery, learning and innovation. But this is just the beginning; we're on a mission to make a long-lasting valuable contribution to the coffee-lover community, the King's Cross community and anyone else who passes through our doors.

Joining us now in this stage of our journey means you will help shape our growth and success. We value and listen to ideas, opinions and insights from all our staff, and with two very hands-on owners, we can act fast to implement changes quickly. We are a small team and there's a lot to do, so working for us means you'll have plenty of opportunity to stretch yourself, build your knowledge and discover new skills.

And if that isn't enough, think of this; you'll have amazing espressos and filters to taste every day.

About you

You would ideally have some experience in hospitality and/or speciality coffee, but the right attitude and willingness to learn matters above all else. You are full of good energy, a helpful team member, and someone keen to learn and build your stills and knowledge in coffee and hospitality. While there are a variety of shift options available, you would be able to commit to a mix of mornings and/or weekends, and happy to open the shop when needed at 6.15am.

About us

We are an independent specialty coffee bar, owned and run by Rodolfo and Charlotte. Through our coffee bar, we offer great-tasting coffee on the go, a quick respite for travellers/commuters, and an impressive selection of retail items and equipment for coffee lovers who brew at home. We roast our own coffee beans too – which we sell online and in-store, and we are extremely passionate about ‘wowing’ people with our coffee, and the other unique-tasting drinks that we serve in our coffee bar. But more than anything, we are a hospitality brand, and the social atmosphere and professional service that our customers experience with us is an essential part of our business. Staff are the heartbeat of our operations, and we aim to be a great employer by providing our staff with the space and opportunities to learn and grow, transparency and openness in how we work, fair pay and benefits, and the flexibility and respect for different staff member’s needs.

Salary & perks

£11.50 - £12.50 p/h depending on experience

A culture of learning and opportunity: As a small team, we value thoughts and ideas from all our team members, and there are plenty of opportunities to get involved in and learn from all areas of our business, including roasting, e-commerce, marketing, operations, food tech, strategy, design and finance. As we roast our own coffee, there are regular opportunities to take part in cuppings, learn about roasting, and see our coffee’s journey from green bean to the behind the bar.
