Our story

What we're about

We (Charlotte & Rodolfo) simply love good coffee, and we get a real kick out of sharing it with others. Yes, we're about quality beans, excellent brewing and great taste. But we're also about enjoyment. Good coffee is there to be enjoyed. It's great coffee moments that get us up in the morning, keep us connected with our friends, and inspire us in our times of reflection.

What is 'gramos'?

Gramos means 'grams' in Spanish (Rodolfo's from Bolivia). Our name speaks to the unit of measurement of coffee, and how we approach our work; we are meticulous, we appreciate precision, we pay attention to detail, we care about getting it right.

Our promise is consistently good coffee.

What do we value?

We value curiosity and exploration, because they lead us to discover new things, widen our knowledge and deepen our understanding of the world around us. Discovering new beans, brewing methods, recipes and gadgets - in the world of coffee - is what drives us day to day.

We value fun and enjoyable experiences. Coffee is a channel through which we connect with others, and we want to make sure that we provide a positive and fun experience to people (our customers and baristas) in the time they spend with us.

We value our independence, which gives us freedom to make our own choices in the world of coffee and hospitality, to embrace our difference, celebrate who we are, and to do things our way, creatively and unapologetically.

See where we've been before

Where it all began

In September 2016 we tested the water with our own coffee shop. At first we thought - does the world really need another coffee shop? Apparently yes, because despite the number of coffee shops around, there's still only a handful that truly care about the coffee.

For three months, we set up inside the O2 Centre, North West London. It was enough time to tell us that people really appreciated the care and precision we took to over each espresso shot, and that there was room for a friendly and passionate barista keen to share his knowledge.
